Creative schools workshops with Mark Titchner Artist Mark Titchner, working with Commission Projects, visited three Trumpington schools (Fawcett Primary School, Trumpington Meadows Primary School and Trumpington Park Primary School) to introduce pupils to his practice and run a series of creative workshops inspired by his new artwork for the new GBR Anglia Cambridge South station, Together We. During the visits, Mark delivered whole school assemblies, sharing examples of his work in public spaces and talking about the inspiration behind Together We. Pupils were invited to think about the themes of connectivity and togetherness, and were also introduced to other public artworks in their local area. Smaller groups from each school then took part in a hands on workshop exploring decorative letterforms. Each pupil designed an individual letter, experimenting with pattern, colour and texture.
